Sponsor terms
Ten things, plainly.
What you agree to, and what we owe you.
These are the terms for sponsoring the show. There is no contract to sign and no form to fill in. You pick a package and a week on the sponsors page, you read this, and you say yes by email. That is the whole process, and the email is the record.
What you agree to
- One product, one URL, one read. A sponsored segment carries a single product and a single call to action. No second product, no second link, no bundle.
- You supply the facts, we write the words. You send the product facts and the one claim you most want made. The host writes the read in the show's voice and you approve it for accuracy before it runs. We do not make a claim we cannot substantiate from what you give us.
- It is labeled as sponsored everywhere it runs. Spoken on air, printed on the episode page and in the newsletter, and flagged with the platform's paid-promotion setting where one exists. That label protects your spend as much as the audience's trust.
- Editorial stays ours. Sponsoring buys no say over guests, topics, signals, subtractions, or what anyone says about your category on air, including a subtraction that names a tool like yours. If that is a risk you cannot carry, this is not your slot.
- Sponsoring does not put you in the guest chair, and appearing does not buy the slot. The two are separate on purpose. The guest terms say the same thing from the other side: nobody pays to appear, and no guest's brand takes the read.
- One sponsor per episode, no exclusivity beyond it. Your week carries no other sponsor. We do not promise that your category stays clear in other weeks.
- Placement is a target. The read runs in the middle of the show. It can move, and it can be cut from the edit when the conversation leaves no seam for it. If a read you paid for ships in neither the episode nor the newsletter, you choose a re-run the following week or a refund for that week.
- Paid in advance. Invoice on acceptance, paid before the Wednesday your week starts. Book four weeks of the same package and the fourth is free.
- Either side can cancel weeks that have not run. Paid weeks that have not run are refunded in full. Weeks that have run are not.
- We can say no. To a category, to a claim, or to a product that does not fit the audience. We will say so plainly and quickly, before you pay.
What we owe you
The read written and sent for your approval before the week starts. The credit on the episode page and in the newsletter, at their permanent addresses on this site, for as long as the site stands. The paid-promotion label handled on the platforms that have one. A short note after the week saying what ran where. Not promised: views, clicks, leads, or any number we do not control.
How you agree
Reply to the email that names your package and your week with the word agreed, naming the version below. That reply is the record. We log the date and the version, and nothing else about you is kept beyond what the read needs.
