Cohosts

A rotating seat, instead of a sidekick.

People AI-ing about AI.

Signals & Subtractions runs with a rotating cohost. Every cohost brings their own audience, their own perspective, and their own signal and subtraction to the table. They hold space for the guest, backstop the host, and keep the conversation honest. The rotation is structural: different fields, different filters, better signal. It is also genuinely a rotation, not a fixed pair. Most weeks the seat is filled; some weeks it is host and guest, and some weeks the host alone.

What a cohost brings

One signal worth watching and one subtraction worth making, every episode they sit in. Specific, recent, first-person. The method is the same one we hand guests and fans: https://sigsub.show/find-yours

How the video works

Same terms guests get. The livestream runs most weeks (some episodes are record-only or audio-only); it aims to stay discoverable for up to 48 hours, then the Friday episode replaces it and the livestream surfaces go unlisted (old links keep working). The episode is the permanent artifact, edited toward under 30 minutes. You see the cut before it ships and can flag anything; the final edit is the host's call.

Interested in the seat?

The bar is the same as for guests: you have shipped something real, seen it break, and can be precise about what matters. If that is you, write to hey@sigsub.show with one signal and one subtraction you would bring. That email is the audition.
